About Spindrift

Spindrift (n.): fine, wind-blown snow that can be seen on mountain peaks as it is churned into the air.
Life in the San Juan Mountains inspires a sense of awe. With incredible geology, backcountry access for skiing, ice climbing, hiking and views of cascading waterfalls, there is so much to be grateful for. Our small community of artists and adventurers brings this inspiration into everything we do, including dyeing and working with fiber.
My name is Meadow, and I head the operation with nearly 15 years of experience as a knitter, spinner, and dyer. I began dyeing fiber in 2016 while living in Kópavogur, Iceland, and found it to be a powerful conduit for connection.
A trained sheep shearer and wind turbine blade repair technician, I am also passionately dedicated to ceramics, writing fiction, and being a participating member of my local community.
